Lots of Fun
The other day I was helping a buddy (i.e. co-worker) blow strings through pipes. We weren't doing this just for fun, there was actually a reason for it. Later in the year (who knows when) we would come back and use the strings to pull wire which we would hook all up to light up the road. Unfortunately when the pipe is initially installed it isn't always taken very good care of and all sorts of junk and debris get in. Such as the picture below.
Apparently either the end of the pipe wasn't sealed, or the joints were loose, or there was just a low spot where all the water collected in the ground. Whatever it was it made big problems for us. A minimum of eight gallons of water came pouring out of the top of the pipe and continued to pour for several seconds. Thankfully I could hear it travelling up so I wasn't near enough to get soaked (that time) Just another day at Electricians Inc.

man, that sounds almost dangerous :-)
Teak woode makes a great plug to seal pipes.
