A Criminal Mastermind....Almost
Before the real post I'm first going to air a greivance with blogspot. It really bugs me that they have no personality options. What do I mean? Other sites have options where you can choose to show what you are feeling at the moment, or what you might be doing while blogging which I happen to find quite interesting and humanizing. But does blogspot? NO! Thus I shall try to start each of my posts with either my mood or my current activity or some other article of interest. If you're not interest, then just skip it.
Okay on to the real post. (By the way, I'm feeling upbeat) Sunday I was grocery shopping at my local hannafords. I bought what I needed and headed back out to my car. As I was putting them into the back seat a minivan pulled into the spot next to me. Inside were several teenagers most of whom were probably between sixteen and maybe eighteen. As soon as the van was still one of the girls in the front leaned out the window and said, 'If I give you some money will you go inside and buy us some Bacardi's?' I just looked at her in shock. She went on, 'I'm hurt and need some.'
'So go to a hospital.' I respond
'Oh I don't need to, I have a doctor's prescription already.'
We went back and forth for a few more sentences before she gave up and started talking to one of the other people inside the van. The driver (a few years older and much more responsible), during the back and forth kept interrupting with comment like, 'Sir, please just ignore her.' 'Sir, she is crazy.' 'Sir, don't listen to anything she says.' He called me sir every time, even as I was leaving. Me,'Take it easy dude.' Him,'Have a good night sir.' I'm pretty sure that was the first time that I've been asked to commit a crime. Truly it was thrilling and it totally made my day.At least I now know what I will do when faced with the opportunity to serve alcohol to minors, something that has haunted me for a very long time.
